Job Title: Overnight Residential Manager

Program: Emergency Shelter

Schedule: 12 AM - 8 AM Saturday & Sunday

Education Required: H.S Diploma or Equivalent; Valid Driver’s License

Experience Required: 3-5 years in Related Experience, 1 year Residential Manager Experience, Food Sanitation Certification, Strong Project Management and personal workflow, Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT)

SUMMARY: Coordinate and oversee the day to day operations of the emergency shelter program through oversight and management of client activity. Maintain a cooperative communal living environment while assuring continuity of services necessary for a client’s success through conflict resolution strategies and relationship building. These services include but are not limited to mediation, chores, meal oversight, group facilitation, personal needs, and rule enforcement.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety and Security
1. Ensure safety and security using the metal detectors and the bug zapper machine.
2. Lead and participate in room inspections regularly.
3. Clearly communicate and apply shelter rules and related sanctions to shelter clients in a consistent and compassionate manner.
4. Facilitate effective conflict resolution strategies among residential clients to ensure a cooperative communal living atmosphere.
Client Services
1. Complete residential client check-ins as needed.
2. Provide interventions, support and encouragement to residents to support their service plan goals.
3. Facilitate shelter tour and assign client room, cabinet, locker and hand out linens as needed.
4. Oversee personal supplies for clients.
5. Provide collateral assistance with DV Case manager on related functions.
6. Assist clients with room changes when necessary.
7. Manage childcare agreements and provide childcare assistance as needed.
8. Facilitate groups for residential clients to increase client’s knowledge and understanding of program components as needed.
Operational and Administrative duties
1. Complete all paperwork in an accurate and efficient manner in accordance with current paperwork procedures.
2. Maintain all clients Board with updated and current information including computer lab, dining room, living room and hallways.
3. Manage meal oversight and counts daily.
4. Manage Residential storage of client’s belongings (label and discarding).
5. Monitor client’s usage of CCSS property and clean rooms upon check-out.
6. Oversee daily client chores and monitoring the cleanliness of client areas.
7. Identify and report to Senior Director of Victim Services any needed shelter repairs.
8. Provide an accurate, comprehensive shift report on a daily basis.
9. Provide accurate and professional inter and intra-agency communications.
10. Collect and maintain accurate service statistics.
11. Attend and participate in staff meetings.
12. Attend Residential Services Department Meetings, supervision with the Senior Director of Victim Services and other meetings and trainings as requested by the Senior Director of Victim Services.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
