Accounting Manager

Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer (with oversight by the Chief Financial Officer)

About the Role:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial stability and accuracy of the organization. The ideal candidate will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with diverse teams, including operations, medical staff, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to executive management regularly.
Compliance: Ensure all accounting procedures comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Budget Management: Develop, manage, and monitor budgets, identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures.
Audit Coordination: Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date financial records. Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for strategic planning and decision-making.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, manage recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and ongoing coaching.
Policy Development: Assess current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), develop new SOPs as needed, and ensure their effective implementation.
System Management: Manage accounting systems to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Accounts Receivable: Lead and manage collections to ensure compliance with terms.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to support business objectives and enhance financial processes.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business is required.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (with certifications preferred) and Microsoft Office.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to managers, clients, and teams.
Leadership & Critical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and use logic to solve complex problems.
Work Environment: Must be able to work fully on-site in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be willing to handle irregular hours when necessary.
