TheSenior Staff Accountantis responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and associated documentation. This role assists with the formulation and execution of internal controls and policies within the Finance and Accounting functions of the business. TheSenior Staff Accountantis responsible for performing balance sheet, revenue, expense, and payroll account reconciliations, as well as executing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

General Ledger Responsibilities:Prepare and record standard journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintenance:Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions to maintain and balance accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
Month-End Closing:Assist with the month-end closing process, including conducting research, making correction journal entries for discrepancies, preparing closing journal entries, posting accrual entries, and preparing required management reports.
Financial Statements Preparation:Assist in preparing assigned financial statements and related footnotes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Finance and Accounting Support:Aid and backup to other areas within the finance and accounting departments.
GAAP Reporting:Assist and support GAAP reporting.
Professional Development:Update job knowledge by participating in educational and professional development opportunities.
Financial Statement Preparation:Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with the established schedule and input from the accounting team and distribute approved statements.
Auditor Support:Prepare assigned audit work papers and assist with audit requests. Assist with the preparation of necessary financial statements for auditors.
Special Projects:Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accountant role
Manufacturing or distribution experience including cost accounting and inventory
Commitment to the highest standards of quality and integrity
