Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Echocardiac and Vascular Technologist to join our team! As an Echocardiac Technologist, you will be responsible for greeting new patients, explaining the procedure, and answering any questions they may have regarding what they can expect. Ideally, you should be able to perform all cardiac and vascular studies, including echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, venous and arterial duplex, aorta, etc. You will also perform the ultrasound itself, visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain relevant measurements, and technician reports, and occasionally assist the physician with particularly complex and demanding procedures. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of cardiology, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the required licensure needed by the state.

Responsibilities:

Answer patient questions, obtain relevant medical history, and explain the upcoming procedure.
Perform the cardiac ultrasound, recording accurate, relevant data.
Consult with colleagues or physicians as needed to best interpret the data.
Assist other technologists or colleagues as needed.
Accurately record all findings.

Qualifications:

Required licensure needed for the state.
Previous experience in the medical field desired.
Strong communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
