Job Summary
The Registered Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within a medical facility. This role involves managing daily operations, coordinating patient care, and implementing policies that enhance the quality of care provided to patients, particularly in senior care and those with developmental disabilities. The Registered Nurse Manager will also engage in medical documentation and utilization management to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care.
Oversee medical documentation processes to maintain accurate patient records.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
Conduct assessments of patients, including those requiring ventilatory support and infant care.
Manage resources effectively to meet the needs of patients and staff.
Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff on best practices in senior care.
Utilize Athenahealth systems for efficient management of patient information and scheduling.
Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as necessary.

Skills

Strong background in medical office operations and documentation.
Experience in senior care settings, with a focus on quality patient outcomes.
Familiarity with Athenahealth or similar healthcare management systems.
Ability to ventilate patients when necessary, demonstrating clinical competence.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Excellent management skills, capable of leading a diverse team effectively.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficient in utilization management practices to ensure effective resource allocation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift
Monday to Friday

BLS Certification (Required)
RN License (Required)
