Summary: Sammamish Presbyterian Church (SPC) has several regular and varying services and events that have childcare provided so that parents can fully participate. That is where YOU come in. You have the incredible opportunity to serve the families in the Sammamish area by providing safe and nurturing care for the kids. As a Childcare Team Leader you are responsible for the Childcare Workers and overseeing the event as the point of contact for questions and concerns.

The primary responsibilities for this position are:

Be the point of contact for families when they walk in the door and help them with check-ins and registration.
Confirm all check-ins from the Childcare Team and assist with any specific supply needs they may have.
Arrive early to open the building and welcome the Childcare Team.
Stay until the event is closed and all Childcare Team members have completed their assigned duties before closing up the building
Supervise classrooms and make sure that all childcare workers are always following our safety and procedures.
Report to the Children’s Director incidents, injuries, or emergencies immediately.
Communicate in advance by phone with the Children’s Ministry Director:
- any planned absences, with a two-week advance notice.
- And any unplanned absences with at least a 24-hour notice.

Accountability and Supervision: Supervised by the Director of Children’s Ministry

Leadership:

Provides immediate supervision to the childcare workers. A portion of time may be spent performing individual tasks; however supervisory activities must constitute a primary part of the job. Supervises operations to ensure compliance with departmental or campus policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Experience in leading teams and managing large events preferred but not required.
At least 18 years of age
Satisfactory completion of a background check
CPR Certified for infants and children (will provide if needed).
Must adhere to our Child Protection Policy Guidelines.

Hours: Days and hours are varying. $25 per hour.
