SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant reconciles Passthrough Programs, and assists in month-end processes, year-end audits, and daily management of joint venture’s accounting activities.

JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE:

Reconciles Passthrough programs, determines the payments to vendors, and submits disputes to Retailer’s portal.
Manages and compiles Master Distribution Agreement for passthrough vendors.
Participates in the month-end closing process.
Regularly maintains detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
Performs general account analyses and reconciliations, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
Compiles daily Flash Report.
Assists in year-end audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules, organization and review of supporting documentation for audit.
Assists with external and internal financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, statements of cash flow as well as other reports.
Assist controller in managing Joint Venture on their daily and monthly accounting activities.
Assist FPAM in preparation of annual budget.
Supports CFO and Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Performs additional duties, as assigned by management.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
4+ years’ experience in Accounting or related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports.
Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
Work environment includes front-office and manufacturing. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
