About The Role

We are seeking an Accountant to support the St. George Tanaq Corporation Accounting department with accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting tasks, and other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time, fully remote role that can be based in Atlanta, GA or anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

Accounting

Input vendor and client invoices into the accounting system for active projects
Follow up with Project Managers for invoices needing approvals
Work with Project Managers to complete Accounts receivable analysis and reconciliation
Maintain pay with paid schedules
Maintain Outstanding AP/AR
Provide support for internal and external audit
New project set up and personnel assignment in the Unanet accounting system
Submit accounts receivable invoices using Government pay sites, such as WAWF and IPP

Requirements

Required Experience and Skills

Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under minimal supervision and remain motivated is required
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion in a professional manner
Strong organizational skills; ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, and Access) required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional demeanor with a positive, solution-seeking attitude and personal responsibility
Prior government contracting experience preferred – understands overhead, G&A, unallowable expenses, cost pools, etc.
Experience with Unanet preferred
Experience with WAWF preferred
Experience with Paylocity preferred
Previous experience working for an 8(a) small business preferred.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Education and Training

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or similar field; five years of experience in a similar role in lieu of an Associate's degree.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
