Position Overview:

The Senior Tax Manager at Hammerman, Graf, Hughes & Co., Inc. will be a strategic leader within our tax department, responsible for overseeing complex tax engagements, driving client success, and mentoring our talented team. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and review of complex business, individual, and entity tax returns, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth clients, businesses, and other entities, fostering long-term relationships built on trust and expertise.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
Oversee the review process of client work, guiding staff to ensure quality control and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to innovate, strategize, and drive the firm's growth and future success.
Conduct in-depth tax research and stay current with changing tax laws and regulations, advising clients and the firm on their implications.
Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Actively participate in firm-wide initiatives, leadership meetings, and contribute to the firm's strategic vision.

Qualifications:

CPA certification with an active license.
8+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with a focus on complex tax issues and client advisory services.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
Extensive technical knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and their application to diverse client scenarios.
Proven ability to manage high-level client relationships, with a consultative approach to problem-solving.
Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex information in a clear and accessible manner.
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for clients and the firm.
