You will help solve complex problems and then see the solutions implemented where you shop, go out to eat, and get medical check-ups.

Building upon your foundational knowledge of business systems, data workflows, and technology, being process-driven, and having a strong attention to detail, you will have a direct impact on the changing demands of the global supply chain. You will be a part of enabling visibility for inventory management purposes, compliance with regulatory requirements such as DSCSA and FSMA 204, and providing transparency to the consumer about the products they buy. You will also support a cross-functional team of experts in the industry, bringing a solution-focused mindset to solving the industry challenges of today and into the future.

You will have broad knowledge of GS1 Standards, the GS1 system of identification, data carriers, and data exchange, and have worked on projects that have implemented GS1 standards.

What you will do:

Technical Consultation: Provide consultation to internal and external stakeholders with respect to the application and use of GS1 Standards. This involves a broad understanding of the technical aspects of GS1 Standards and translating them into practical understanding and application for industry solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders, members, industry partners, and others to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure outcomes are aligned with requirements. This involves understanding the specific needs of each stakeholder and providing tailored advice and guidance.
Solution Development: Develop and support implementation of solutions that address the unique needs of industry sectors using GS1 Standards. This includes creating custom workflows, processes, and systems that leverage GS1 Standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Industry Collaboration: Support industry collaboration to drive adoption and use of GS1 Standards with industry partners, including retailers, suppliers, and technology providers.

Education and/or Experience:

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in retail, healthcare, and/or food service supply chain management.
Experience as a people manager.
Experience implementing GS1 Standards.
Experience in facilitating collaboration among various stakeholder types to define solutions to shared challenges and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in food, general retail supply chain sectors.
Experience as a sales engineer or solution designer.
