What You'll Do:

As a Primary Care Provider (APRN) at Bedford Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients have access to quality care. Your responsibilities will include:

Essential Functions:

Conducting comprehensive patient interviews to gather medical history and assess physical and developmental status.
Performing thorough physical examinations to obtain objective data.
Collaborating with Primary Care Providers (PCPs) to address patient concerns and coordinate treatment plans.
Reviewing test results and documenting interactions in the patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Providing patient education and coordinating treatment with other healthcare agencies and organizations.
Administering medication, injections, and conducting various medical tests as needed.
Developing treatment plans based on assessments and clinical findings.
Following up with patients regarding test results and treatment plans.
Making referrals to specialists and providing necessary medical information.
Participating in staff meetings and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and external parties.
Promoting effective and compassionate care for patients and their families.

Secondary Functions:

Assisting with appointment scheduling and coordinating care with other medical providers.
Participating in professional development activities and continuing education opportunities.
Contributing to clinical meetings to support peer development and teamwork.
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and infection control protocols.
Performing additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
Five or more years of experience as a registered nurse with a strong medical/surgical background.
Current registration as an APRN in adult medicine.
BLS certification, maintained throughout employment.
Ability to deliver patient care tailored to specific demographics and needs.
Proficiency in assessing and adapting treatment plans to meet patient needs.
Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule:

Generally Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend requirements based on practice schedule.
