Position Description

The incumbent serves as a Financial Analyst supporting the DPSS IPT at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, California. This position requires knowledge of Microsoft Excel, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting. Tasking includes assisting with budget development, execution, forecasting, trending, analysis, and detailed financial reporting on overhead, direct, and external funding.

Under the guidance of a senior analyst, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring budget plans and execution, analyzing data, evaluating and interpreting findings, providing recommendations, and presenting quality reports and analysis to the customer and senior analysts. The incumbent will also provide inputs to various data call requests and advise cognizant personnel of discrepancies in planned versus actual, proposing adjustments as necessary.

The incumbent receives, tracks, monitors, analyzes, documents, reports, allocates, commits, reconciles, and maintains records of financial execution within the IPT. The individual will demonstrate professional business acumen and maintain accountability for IPT financial planning and coordination efforts. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of Navy ERP and the financial formulation and execution processes, being proficient in extracting information from N-ERP and providing data analysis using Excel formats.

The incumbent will have the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels and foster positive working relationships, employing open dialogue while providing responsive, high-quality support. Must be comfortable working with a team.

Minimum Salary: 46,020

Maximum Salary: 99,821
