SUMMARY

We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead our sales team at one of our domestic-brand dealerships in Alexandria, VA. If you enjoy delivering results; managing a team of managers, finance, and Sales Consultants; inspiring and training new Sales staff; setting and exceeding goals; and delivering an excellent customer experience we want to talk to you! Previous management experience is required; used car management experience is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set and exceed sales goals for units, gross, finance, and customer experience score
Implement and manage a comprehensive training program to hire and develop new Sales Consultants
Involvement in all Internet leads
Ensure a thriving, profitable, and consistent Used Car Department
Manage the appraisal of used cars and take in as many trades as possible
Understand and approve reconditioning process while maintaining a productive relationship with the Service Department
Manage new and pre-owned inventory for maximum effectiveness in turn and profitability
Ensure Finance Department is meeting benchmarks and perform T.O.s for warranties, protection packages, and other products
Report regularly on Sales Department goals and progress with GM and Executive Office
Ensure all customers have a positive dealership experience and encourage Google reviews
Involve yourself in all incoming and outgoing customer traffic to ensure maximum close rate
Ability to understand manufacturer programs and use them to maximize profitability
Be able to resolve customer complaints and concerns effectively without further escalation

REQUIREMENTS

Previous Dealership Management Experience, preferably with Used Cars
Demonstrated ability to manage others
Friendly personality and the ability to get along with all personalities for customers and coworkers
Internal desire to succeed and overcome any obstacle in your way
Leadership experience
