MercyOne Clinton has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join a well-established practice located in Clinton, Iowa.According to the FY22-24 CHNA, through a need differential analysis and steering committee input, cancer was found to be one of the top 8 health needs in the MercyOne service area. MercyOne has begun working towards the COC (Commission on Cancer) Accreditation.
Job Description:- Coverage primarily at MercyOne in Clinton, IA; however, may eventually rotate in Genesis Health System in Davenport, IA as well
- Expect to split time 30/70 between Hematology and Medical Oncology
- After hour calls are by phone only and are very minimal.
- Practice is attached to the hospital
- Currently sees an average of 30 patients per day - patient population is adult and geriatric
- New patient visits are allocated 30 minutes and follow-up patients 15 minutes.
- Physicians are supported by four RNs, MA, CNA, and a receptionist.
- Hospitalists are available to cover infusions, if needed.
- Onsite Radiation Oncology is an outreach of the University of Iowa.
- Strong primary care network of providers to provide a steady stream of internal referrals
- Practice in a professionally managed and thriving state-of-the-art facility with full ancillary services.
- Not accepting Locums candidates
- Not accepting visa candidates
- Cannot accept providers who have any malpractice cases that are in Probate or that require supervision. Clean malpractice is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:- Excellent compensation based on experience and training to be discussed at interview. Provider may submit salary expectations.
