Job Description
Position Summary Responsible for selling homes within the Community by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects. As part of a sales and marketing team, helps plan, direct, organize and implement-marketing strategies to meet defined move-in objectives and sales goals. Responsible for achieving weekly lead contacts and monthly goals for closed sales and move ins.
Essential Duties- Develops and utilizes an effective plan of lead follow-up including but not limited to telephone contact and personal appointments.
- Shows apartments and the retirement community to prospective residents, guests and others.
- Maintains customer contact documentation for each prospect. Oversees process of
- qualifying each prospect for level of interest and urgency. Assesses client eligibility with regard to physical, financial and social criteria. Assists each prospective customer through the decision making process. Develops each lead to decision.
- Prepares and maintains accurate, complete and up to date sales related documents, including contracts and unit inventory records.
- Develops an appropriate number of leads from sources other than advertising and direct mail, including community outreach and networking.
- Prepares timely sales reports including traffic reports and lead sources.
- Helps develop and present visual and oral presentations to be used by Sales and Marketing staff during promotional presentations. Assists with special event planning and implementation.
- Contributes to the planning, research and writing of the community's marketing plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications & Experience- High School Diploma or GED. Advanced education, particularly in sales and marketing preferred.
- 1-3 years professional experience in marketing, advertising, communications, sales, leasing, promotion or public relations required.
- Proven expertise in relationship sales required. Senior housing sales experience desired.
- Excellent communication skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or applicable software preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements - Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
- Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
