The Management Accountant will be responsible for:
- Manage the group consolidation process and prepare consolidated financial statements
- Lead the coordination of external audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes across the group
- Provide expert tax advice and oversee tax planning initiatives
- Produce insightful financial analysis and reports for senior management
- Collaborate with various departments to drive process improvements and efficiencies
- Support M&A activities with financial due diligence and integration planning
The Ideal candidate will be:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience
- Strong background in group accounting within a complex, multi-entity structure
- In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
- Previous experience in external audit, preferably within the FMCG sector
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial reporting systems
- Able to commute to Bedford a couple of days a week
