What You’ll Do
As a Federal Tax Manager, you will be a key member of the team responsible for the preparation and review of Fortive’s Federal income tax filings and US tax provision. This role requires a strong grasp of domestic tax concepts, exceptional analytical skills, and effective collaboration across teams. You should also be comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Additional responsibilities may include:
- Research and document relevant tax laws and related tax positions.
- Support internal teams through subject matter expertise and training.
- Support Fortive’s M&A and tax planning activities including due diligence, acquisition integration, and technical analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology and automation solutions.
- Assist our State and US International Tax Operations teams on strategic cross-functional projects and workstreams.
- Manage or support special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience in corporate income tax
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Taxation and/or CPA preferred
- Results-oriented, technically curious, and values effective collaboration
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Comprehensive understanding of US tax principles
- Basic understanding of State and US International tax concepts
- Experience with Corptax software
- Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI, and similar automation tools
- High level of demonstrated proficiency with MSFT Office Suite
