What you'll be doing
As a member of the US Security Services team, you’ll work on a fast-paced information security team that protects our bank from Endpoint and Data threats.
The US Region Endpoint and Data Protection Consultant is responsible for execution of CIBC’s Security functions as it relates to US Region Endpoint and Data Protection controls and solutions. The US Region Endpoint and Data Protection Consultant will contribute to multiple Security products that achieve critical security objectives and be responsible for executing the planned service vision and strategy, customer advocacy, roadmap, and feature development.

How you'll succeed
Security Vision and Roadmap
- Participate and contribute to the US Security Vision and Strategy for the Endpoint and Data Protection Security Domain, including technologies such as Anti-Malware, Data Loss Prevention, Disk Encryption, Application Whitelisting and Host-based Intrusion Detection.
- Understand the business model and ecosystem around Endpoint and Data Protection products and services.
- Identify enhancements for Endpoint and Data security solutions.
Security Service Performed by the US
The US Region Endpoint and Data Protection Consultant will be accountable for some security services that are entirely supported by engineering resources within the US Region. Oversee US Region policies for Windows Defender capabilities which includes XDR, Purview, and Azure Information Protection. Lead annual and quarterly planning events and participate in Team Sprint planning.
- Administer Microsoft Defender for Server within the US Region.
- Administer Microsoft Purview Endpoint DLP policies within the US Region.
- Administer Microsoft Azure Information Protection (AIP) within US Region.
- Author and prioritize Service/Team Backlogs.
- Review and maintain Endpoint and Data Service controls.
- Participate in team standups and help eliminate team blockers to getting work completed.
- Incorporate feedback from customers as input into quarterly and annual planning.
- Work with Risk and Audit teams to align with regulatory and industry standards.
- Conduct internal control assessment and gap analysis on Endpoint and Data security services.
- Understand Data Loss Prevention Program and SHR’s.

- You understand. The compliance and regulatory context around industry security standards, SHR, DLP, and NIST. Microsoft Defender Capabilities (XDR, Purview, Azure Information Protection).

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
