Qualis LLC is seeking a skilled engineer for the Space Superiority Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis and Applications Solutions role. This position involves the development of advanced modeling and simulation capabilities to support space superiority operations and initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting simulations that analyze potential threats and operational capabilities in the space domain.
The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and assess simulation scenarios, ensuring that they meet operational and strategic requirements. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively are crucial for this role.
This position is seeking two candidates and is a fully remote position.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited university.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably within a defense or aerospace environment.
- Strong understanding of space systems, operation concepts, and satellite technologies.
- Experience with simulation tools and methodologies, as well as programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Effective teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
- Must be a US Citizen to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related engineering or science field.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools.
- Experience with high-performance computing systems.
- Knowledge of satellite communication, surveillance, or missile defense systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
- Experience with various software development methodologies, particularly Agile.
