The Cambria County Area Agency on Aging is seeking an Aging Care Manager 1 to assist senior citizens with obtaining enriching services and supports to lead active and safe lives. As an Aging Care Manager 1, you will participate in formal and informal training sessions which provide the methods, procedures, rules, and regulations that govern the program and the internal operations of the area agency on aging to which the employee is assigned.
One of the primary responsibilities of this role is completing timely annual personal care home consumer recertification assessments, waiver recertifications, and bi-annual domiciliary care home consumer assessments. As knowledge and skills are acquired, the difficulty of work assignments will increase, and you will be able to exercise more latitude in judgment and decision making. Training and supervision are carried out through individual and group conferences, reading and evaluating records and reports, assignment of professional reading, attendance at training classes, and other training devices.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
