We are hiring for a Mental Health Clinician for our WISe program. Join THS and help us meet the demand for behavioral health services in the Puget Sound region.
The pay range for this position is $68,000- 75,000/annually DOE.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake and multi-dimensional assessments, including mental health diagnosis and tiering according to medical necessity criteria, with clients from which appropriate treatment plans will be developed.
- Maintain a case load of no more than 10-12 youth & families at a time.
- Provide outreach and advocacy services to clients/families as needed (e.g. which may include school or home visits, case management, transportation, etc.).
- Develop and access linkages with other agencies for the purpose of providing referral sources/resources for clients.
- Work with clients to assess the need for additional services, make the appropriate referrals, facilitate connection and provide follow-up.
- Monitor the progress of clients on their treatment plan and modify the plan as necessary.
- Maintain regular documentation in client files, submit appropriate billing forms, monthly reports and other data as required by contract/funding source.
- Participate in regular supervision, case staffing, consultations and general meetings with other agency staff.
- Use the Washington State WISe manual to guide service delivery.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the WISe Care Coordinators(s), Parent Partner(s) and Youth Partner(s), and other community partners.
- Rotating on-call crisis response shifts required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Masters degree in a social service field required. Experience (in exceptional cases) may be substituted for education.
- At least one year experience providing counseling, case management and group services to “at-risk” youth and their families.
- WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration or other social work credential (LICSWA, LMHCA, etc.) required.
- Knowledge of and experience working with multi-ethnic populations around issues of child abuse and neglect, sexual assault, domestic violence and chemical dependency.
- Outreach, crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills with youth and parents.
- Knowledge of adolescent developmental issues.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other service systems and community members.
- Knowledge of community resources and referral/follow-up processes.
- Ability to work in an unstructured and unpredictable setting, ability to adapt to change.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Current Washington State Driver’s license, proof of insurance required and reliable transportation for travel within Snohomish County area, and willingness to transport youth & families.
- Flexibility in scheduling including early morning and later evening meetings.
