The Director of Surgical Services provides overall management and strategic leadership of Surgical Services and affiliated service lines. Representing Surgical Services, the Director is responsible for patient safety, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards associated with Surgical Services, budgetary duties and fiscal performance of the nursing unit, leadership of surgical services team members, resource development and implementation of process changes and establishment, measurement, reporting and audit of Surgical Services Performance Metrics.
Education: Graduate of a nursing program. Bachelor's Degree in nursing or healthcare administration is preferred.
Experience: Five years varied and progressive preoperative services experience with two years of progressive experience in health care administration with increasing level of administrative responsibility and authority. Previous management experience is highly preferred. Licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Missouri, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. CNOR is preferred.
