SUMMARY
As a CT Technologist-Lead, your ability to empathize with patients, specialized technical skills, and dedication to quality greatly enhances the overall success of CT imaging for diagnostic use in patient care in RRH Radiology. This advanced position will include additional duties and responsibilities which are assigned by the modality supervisor or department manager. Performs Computed Tomography (CT) imaging and assists radiologists in performing CT Interventional procedures, obtaining images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures.

ATTRIBUTES
- Prior Radiologic Technologist experience.
- Three years of CT Technologist and/or Radiologic experience preferred (combined experience accepted).
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT-R-CT).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trains staff during orientation and on new procedures.
- Performs quality assurance duties as assigned.
- Performs PACS reconciliations as needed.
- Initiates communication process for delays and equipment downtimes.
- Orders supplies and maintains par levels as assigned.
- Performs specialty CT imaging.
- Participates in department or system committees as assigned.
- Provides direct support to the supervisor.
- Assists in mentoring and counseling staff.
- Modality subject expert and is a resource for maintaining standardization.
- Responsible for monthly, weekly and daily staffing schedules as assigned.
- Assists in new Technologists recruitment, onboarding and orientation.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance and continued readiness for DVN and or DOH inspections.
- Acts as a liaison between Radiologist and staff technologist.
- Evaluates image quality and provides feedback to staff Technologists.
- Assists in DNV and DOH inspection compliance and training.
- Responsible for compliance of departmental safety procedures and assists in training staff on new safety protocols.
- Assists Supervisor maintaining regulatory requirements in CT.
- Provides staffing solutions during staff shortages: call-ins.
- Manages patient workflow for the CT department in the absence of a supervisor.
- Designated contact for referring providers, Radiologist, and management for any concerns.
- Super-user of all CT equipment; programming, CT scanner and Contrast Injector, updates imaging protocols, troubleshoots.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two year college degree in Radiologic Technology in Applied Science or equivalent.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
- NYS license in Radiologic Technology.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R).
- NYS Injection Certification.
- BLS certification.
