To inspect finished material by use of immersion ultrasonic reflect scope equipment.
- Adjusts electronic equipment for the right material and adjusts the roller RPMs on round bars.
- Places material in tank using pendent crane and special slings to protect surface.
- Begins inspection of the bars.
- Marks defective area of bar.
- Records required information on company forms and/or electronic input/output devices.
- Adjusts water circulation if required.
- Drains and refills tank occasionally as required.
- Check's identity, size, length, straightness, and surface condition on bars.
- Removes small surface defects and burrs by using file and/or hand grinder.
- Notifies supervision of any maintenance repairs required to maintain the upkeep and safety of the immersion tanks and small overhead cranes.
- Participates in Company Wide Continuous Improvements.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Observes safety rules and regulations.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as directed by supervision.
