We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and passionate Mental Health Practitioner to work in our Complex Needs Service in Cheshire East.
The service is based in Macclesfield and our friendly multidisciplinary team includes Psychologists, Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Leads, Support Worker, Assistant Psychologist, Team Manager and Administrator. The service supports adults of any age who would benefit from improving their skills for managing emotions and relationships, reduce risk behaviours (self-harm, aggression, suicidal behaviours). It is common for the people we support to have a history of trauma and their difficulties will be considered severe and/or complex, resulting in a diagnosis of severe “personality disorder” or related diagnoses. We deliver multi-modal programmes such as Structured Clinical Management, Mentalisation Based Treatment and Dialectical Behavioural Treatment.
You will work alongside the team to provide quality and seamless care to those under the service and be active in the delivery of a modality for which you will be trained in. Supervision is a central component of the service vision, and you will have regular space to reflect on your own technical skills as they grow, how the work impacts on you as well as how to apply skilful ways of working to your clinical case load.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload and work within relevant codes of practice at all times
- Undertake individual service user focused specialist assessments on all referrals received by the team.
- Use skills for assessing, interpreting and appropriate diagnosis of mental health service users conditions and carrying out appropriate action.
- Signpost to the appropriate service to meet individual service user and carer needs.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions which are measurable and promote the service users journey along the recovery pathway.
- Provide training in specialist area.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
