THE AGENCYThe

Under the direction of the Agency Director, a new and dynamic executive team with an organizational structure comprised of five (5) service areas - Administrative Services, Behavioral Health Services, Correctional Health Services, Specialized Medical Services, and Public Health Services - is committed to meeting the health needs of the diverse Orange County community.
THE OPPORTUNITYThere are two (2) immediate vacancies within HCA: one (1) with BHS and one (1) with PHS.
The HCA Program Supervisor II (PS II) within
BHS, O&E is responsible for supervising staff providing services in the community. The PS II will be out in the field 60% of their time conducting training for new outreach workers, role-modeling outreach techniques, leading priority projects, and working with staff on complex cases. The PS II acts as a liaison with community and service providers, including attending meetings and representing the program on planning committees, preparing correspondences, reports, and program documentation, conducting quality management activities, and advising staff on participant cases.
Responsibilities of the PS II may include, but are not limited to:- Demonstrating best practices in the field to outreach staff to ensure quality of service.
- Reviewing documentation for completeness, quality, and compliance with County standards.
- Facilitating ongoing case conferencing and providing guidance on difficult cases to monitor delivery of program services.
- Providing back-up coverage for the HCA Service Chief.
- Supervising case management services, including the development of individualized action plans, monitoring outcome data, documentation, and appropriate referrals and linkages.
- Assisting with triaging phone calls and assigning to staff for field response.
- Participating in collaborative partner meetings to develop regional services and resources.
- Answering community calls in a timely manner and ensuring information provided is accurate and reliable.
- Completing staff performance evaluations; planning work schedules; communicating direction and expectations; troubleshooting concerns.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & CORE COMPETENCIESFor BHS, O&E, the ideal candidate will possess two (2) years of professional experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or in a health setting for physical, behavioral health, or recovery, with at least one (1) of those years spent conducting fieldwork and handling crisis situations. Two (2) years of supervisory experience is highly preferred but not required.
For PHS, LOHP, the ideal candidate will possess one (1) year of community planning experience. A master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, or related field is preferred, but not required.

Environmental ConditionsWill be required to interact with clients/patients in emotional and occasionally hostile situations; work in the field or in an office environment and/or a secure facility; drive to community sites and to meetings; occasionally work evenings/weekends to attend meetings/special events.
