Posting Summary
The Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden is seeking a Nursing Simulation Lab Specialist. The incumbent will have at least 2 years of clinical experience, and a nursing degree. Must have firsthand experience of the industry and current certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Be familiar with both PC and Mac operating systems as well as Microsoft Office.
The incumbent should be a visionary and able to coordinate internal affairs with academic partners and interdepartmental continuing education projects, understand research and development related to simulation activities and disseminate the information. Familiarity with the performance improvement process and take a systems approach to improve patient safety and student success.

Work Arrangement: This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.

Position Salary: Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and or experience plus two years of applicable experience.
- NJ Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSE) certification, obtain certification within one year of hire, or other similar certification.
- Clinical experience with a strong focus on population health: pediatrics, adult health, and Advance Practice Nursing as well as extensive simulation experience.

- Certification as a Health Simulation Educator (CHSE)
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time.
- The person in this role must be able to independently lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents.
- Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in hand-written forms, and printed on paper.
- Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
