Registered Nurse Trauma Program Manager Williamsburg Regional Medical CenterRN Manager - manage the overall nursing operations of the Trauma Program (currently being developed). They would work closely with the Trauma Program Medical Director, Trauma PI Coordinator, leaders, nurses, and other physicians to ensure effective processes are in place for the care of trauma patients.
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Cente r, a Certified Primary Stroke Center, has 145 licensed beds and features the latest healthcare technologies, serving the region with the life-saving capabilities of an ultra-modern medical center.
The hospital offers a full range of medical care from emergency heart catheterization to all-inclusive obstetrics care where patients are able to stay in one room. The hospital also provides advanced imaging and "smart" operating rooms. Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center has also achieved Magnet recognition, the nation's highest honor for excellence in nursing.
Requirements :
- BLS,
-BSN required, graduate degree preferred
- 2 years in a support leadership RN position, i.e. Unit Coordinator,
Team Lead, or other like position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year formal
management experience.
-3 years ED experience to include at least 1 yr of Trauma level ED experience in a support leadership RN position, i.e. Unit Coordinator,
Team Lead, or other like position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year formal
management experience.
-Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty.

Job SummaryResponsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Models and leads professional practices consistent with organizational goals of safety, customer satisfaction and quality for the area of expertise. Supervises staff, provides clinical/ technical expertise and engages in process improvements. Assists in the fiscal budgeting and management process for the department including billing/revenue management, payroll, purchasing and supply cost management. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Interviews, hires and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility.
Strong clinical care knowledge base in area of expertise. BLS required within 90 days
