Job Details:A staff level position requiring the Computerized Tomography Technologist to produce quality diagnostic images on patients of all ages using the CT scanner and associated equipment for imaging and image manipulation. Tasks are performed with minimal supervision and with strict adherence to quality parameters as determined by the department. Technologists independently perform or assist the licensed independent practitioner in the completion of radiographic procedures. Technologists prepare, administer, and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations or institutional policy. Technologists educate patients and their parents regarding procedures performed and safety within the CT department. Technologists are responsible in part for performance of the organization's systems and processes while continuing to recognize the importance of the individual competence of staff. Technologists are responsible for maintaining CPR certification, Ohio Licensure, and ARRT registration, in addition to participation in hospital wide mandatory education. The CT technologist recognizes and advocates for each patient being an individual with unique healthcare needs and provides considerate, respectful care affirming the patient's right to make decisions regarding their medical care. The CT technologist works with radiology staff and other departments to provide a smooth continuum of care for individual patients. Works with student technologists to assure a positive learning experience while on clinical rotations at the hospital.
Department Specific Job Details:$5,000 Sign on Bonus availableHours: 3rd shift CT technologist. Assists in x-ray when not actively performing CT exams.Education:- HSD/GED is required
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology/Sciences is required
Certification/Licensure: - Radiologic License - Ohio Department of Health is required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography is required
- Advanced registry with ARRT in Computed Tomography preferred
- CPR is required
