Job Details:The Behavioral Health Therapist for Inpatient Behavioral Health provides acute behavioral health services and care coordination including psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, individual and family-based psychotherapy, group facilitation, referral management, and disposition planning. Responsible for assisting patients and their families in understanding and learning to cope with behavioral crisis and chronic behavioral health diagnoses. Assists families in resolving complex personal and environmental difficulties which interfere with effective social functioning. Responsible for the delivery of clinical services which are available to the patient, the patient's family, and other persons significant to the patient, are well organized and directed, and integrated with other units and departments of the hospital/ community. Participates as a professional team member in patient care planning along with other hospital and community agency personnel. Provides education/ consultation to health care professionals and the community regarding the impact of psychosocial factors. This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital.
Department Specific Job Details:- Exceptional verbal and written communication and clinical skills, including competency in diagnosis and treatment. Works both independently and part of a team.
- Preferred: LISW or LPCC , 2-4 years clinical experience with children and adolescents, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Pool staff are required to work at least 1 shift a month if shifts are available.
- No benefits or PTO included with pool positions.
