Are you ready to take the lead on creating the next generation of developer tooling and infrastructure at StreetEasy? In this Principal Infrastructure Engineer role, you'll not only be at the forefront of innovation but also help drive critical infrastructure improvements to support the scalability and reliability of our services. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, enhancing developer velocity and leading the way in testing, tuning, and deploying high-performance services.
As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
Lead engineering teams in deploying and operating their services efficiently and reliably.
Architect, build, and guide the development of cloud infrastructure to ensure its scalability and performance.
Collaborate across teams to drive technical consensus around architecture and technology decisions.
Conduct performance testing and tuning of new services, helping to diagnose and debug production issues.
Enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our core systems, with a focus on infrastructure automation.
Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence across the organization.
Drive the implementation of DevOps across the company, advocating for infrastructure best practices.
Cross-collaborate with multi-functional teams, working together to build reliable and efficient systems.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $186,700.00 - $298,300.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud infrastructure best practices.
BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
