Hours:
- 2nd Shift
- 10hr Shifts Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1m
- Some (minimal) mandatory OT on Fridays only as needed
- $1/hour shift differential
Wage:
- Starting wages range from $19-$21+ based on experience
- Second shift qualifies for a $1 shift premium
Major Job Function:
- The Slitter Operator is responsible for setting up and adjusting slitting machines to ensure they operate at optimum quality and speeds.
Essential Job Duties:
- Must know how to read and understand the job ticket at the start of the shift and at every job including special instructions.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed by the end of shift. This includes downtime sheets updated during shifts.
- Ensure machine speeds are correct.
- Must know how to read tickets and match with the dockets completely.
- Responsible for making machine adjustments during the shift as needed to maintain quality and production.
- Make roll changes in a timely fashion.
- Check off on jobs at the start of the shift and after change overs.
- Must know where all power, air and water cutoffs are located.
- Report any issues to the lead or supervisor.
- Must know how to set the edge guides and turn towers.
- Must know how to line film up in the machine.
- Be able to keep the machine running.
- Complete all paperwork with all totals by the end of the shift.
- Make sure the rolls match the paperwork.
- Report any overrun or short orders.
Qualifications
- HS diploma (or GED equivalent)
- 18 years of age or older
- Experience reading and recording measurement
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and be on your feet for a full 10-hour shift
- 1 Year + manufacturing experience preferred
