The IACP seeks to hire a customer service-oriented individual. This position will be responsible for database input, booth sales, payment collections, exhibitor communications, website coordination and administrative duties related to the exposition. The trade show has over 650 exhibitors using 190,000 NSF.
Job Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to exhibitors. Answer high-volume telephone calls and emails on exhibitor inquiries about the conference including questions about exhibitor registration, housing, and show services.
- Maintain online floor plan and exhibitor records.
- Communicate with exhibitors to create and maintain exhibitor files for publication in mobile app and onsite map.
- Perform data entry for historical, logistical, and billing purposes.
- Research and resolve problems, questions, issues from exhibitors.
- Maintain the waitlist and better-booth lists, exhibitor database and develop a database of prospective exhibitors.
- Design and produce newsletters, and electronic communications of information to exhibitors.
- Assist in the management of the exhibitor payment process, including collections of delinquent accounts. Maintain accounts receivable information, create, and send invoices.
- Prepare the online booth selection process for the next conference.
- Maintain, update, and organize exhibitor priority points and status of sold exhibit space.
- Serve as onsite point of contact in the exhibit sales office. Assist exhibitors and coordinate onsite temporary staff in assisting with exhibitor registration questions and onsite booth sales.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- Associates degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and exhibits management software (specifically Map Your Show)
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Exceptional customer service skills with a sense of urgency, ensuring timely responses and proactive follow-up to meet customer needs and resolve issues.
- Skilled in identifying concerns, implementing solutions, and escalating complex situations when necessary to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Solid analytical skills to include ability to troubleshoot problems from multiple perspectives
- Effective task prioritization and time management skills
- Solid writing, editing, and communication skills
- Effective collaboration and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in a non-profit organization, association, or criminal justice environment
- Familiarity with and understanding of project-relevant exhibit sales and management and IAEE regulations
- Experience with, and ability to multitask and attention to detail.
Special Conditions and Work Environment- Travel will be required based on job responsibilities
- Work takes place primarily in an office environment
- Light lifting, bending, and reaching may be required
