We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Water Resources/Hydraulic Engineer to support our Carolinas Region located in North Carolina.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for stormwater related activities for various owners, including municipalities, state NCDOT, and federal.
- Preparing water quality analysis and BMP designs per North Carolina standards.
- Overseeing and/or preparing erosion and sediment control plans and SWPPPs.
- Working on multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
- The position includes developing client relationships and a commitment to quality, innovation, and honest value.
- Participate in business development, proposal preparation, and client maintenance.
- Communicate with leaders and marketing resources to assist with development of projects.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or an equivalent related degree from ABET accredited program.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- 10 - 15 years of technical and project management experience including, but not limited to:
- Thorough understanding of NCDOT’s Drainage Studies Guidelines, standards, and practices.
- Modeling.
- H&H Analysis.
- Bridge, culvert, and river mechanics/hydraulics.
- Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and Strategies.
- Perform technical work in various software applications, including but not limited to MicroStation, Civil 3D, PCSWMM, StormCad, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and ARC-GIS.
- Land disturbance permits and storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP).
- Experience using GEOPAK Drainage and/or SUDA. OpenRoads experience a plus.
- Candidates should have an understanding and preferred to have experience with TMDL action plans and implementation.
