CLINICAL INFORMATICIST - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (.5 - 1.0 FTE)

Position Overview -
The Clinical Informaticist at OCHIN is a clinician responsible for providing clinical consultation on the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of clinical and health IT systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Telehealth, Mobile Health, and other HIT systems. This role will support OCHIN member clinics and clinicians and work on priority innovation projects.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership team on strategy and operations.
- Provide leadership within the clinical informatics team in areas of clinical subject matter expertise, with special emphasis on any of the following: Primary care, Behavioral Health, Substance Use, Dentistry, Acute Care, Pharmacy.
- Provide clinical informatics consultation internally at OCHIN.
- Review clinical questions via incident management system (JIRA).
- Ad hoc consultation on additional OCHIN Epic build or maintenance projects.
- Analysis of clinical EHR break/fix issues as needed.
- Participate in build primarily in design, as time, interest, and skill level allow.
- Participate in member engagement.
- Prepare for and present at Clinical Operations Review Committee (CORC) and Clinical Oversight Group (COG) meetings.
- Provide mentorship to provider builders at member organizations.
- Support clinical team in efforts to measure, communicate, and support an increase in workforce satisfaction among member sites.
- Contribute to building and improving Clinical Decision Support (CDS).
- Communicate with members about CDS.
- Participate or provide leadership in interdisciplinary work groups in areas of expertise.
- Exercises strong communication skills, especially in the area of relaying messages between IT and technology and clinical staff.
- Studies trends in health informatics to inform the development of IT systems and infrastructure that increase efficiency and improve patient outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Master's or equivalent relevant combination of education and experience.
- Clinical degree and licensure (NP, PA, RN, PsyD, LPC, LCSW, PT, OT, RD, RT, MPH, PharmD), or other relevant master's degree without licensure, and/or equivalent relevant training and experience with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following areas required: Primary care, Behavioral Health, Substance Use, Pharmacy, Acute care, Other clinical specialties. SUD experience highly preferred.
- Previous experience with FQHC/Safety Net clinics is desired.
- Epic build experience, Epic Clinical Certification appropriate for role in ambulatory is highly desired.
- Experience with Epic Provider Builder/Clinical Content Builder or equivalent, desired or willingness to become Epic certified within the first year of hire.
- Knowledge and previous experience with clinical innovation, health care transformation, and quality improvement desired.
- Familiarity with methodologies such as the Model for Improvement or Lean desired (lean certification a plus).
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Availability for occasional travel, including supporting go-lives according to OCHIN's policy (go-live support is required; this support is sometimes provided virtually).
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer application systems, including experience with Microsoft Office.
