Phlebotomist III Site Lead - Monday - Thursday 8:00-5:00, Friday 8:00-1:00 (Rotational Weekends)
The PSR III – Site Lead represents the face of our company to patients who come to Quest Diagnostics. This role involves drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR III – Site Lead has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens safely and accurately.
The PSR III – Site Lead will direct daily activity at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) and lead more than one PSR on site. Responsibilities include ensuring that daily activities are completed accurately and on time, demonstrating Quest Leadership Behaviors, and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Successful applicants may work in various environments including doctor's offices, patient service centers, or long-term care facilities. The PSR III – Site Lead must step in for a PSR II and lead one or more PSRs on site, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource advisor for new employees.
Pay Range: $19.25+ per hour
Salary offers consider relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities
- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
- Administer oral solutions as trained.
- Research test/client information and verify all orders using lab technology systems.
- Complete all data entry requirements accurately, including patient registration and test orders.
- Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
- Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, and splitting as required by test orders.
- Perform clerical duties such as inventory management and answering phones.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information post-venipuncture.
- Compile and submit monthly statistics and data.
- Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner.
- Complete training courses and stay updated on phlebotomy techniques.
- Participate in special projects and teams.
- Perform Point of Care (POC) testing as needed.
- Act as a mentor and resource for new employees.
- Assist with inventory counts and report shortages.
- Prepare schedules for assigned workgroups or PSCs.
- Communicate professionally with clients to resolve issues.
- Ensure staff follows safety precautions.
- Assist supervisors with the implementation of SOPs.
- Maintain cleanliness and repair of facilities.
Qualifications
Required Work Experience:
- Five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations.
Preferred Work Experience:
- Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic.
- Minimum three years in a PSC/IOP environment.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift light to moderately heavy objects.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods.
- Extensive use of phone and PC.
Knowledge:

- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Skills:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states).
