Job Description
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language abilities.
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop and implement effective treatment programs.
- Provide counseling to patients and patients’ families about results of testing and recommended treatment options.
- Establish patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment.
- Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits.
- Delegate duties to support personnel as appropriate.
- Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies per state guidelines.
- Refer patients to medical specialists in dentistry, psychology, or other related fields.
License or Certification:
Must be in possession of current SLP certificate on or before the first day of employment.
CPR certification, TB skin test, Auto Insurance, and Driver License required.
Education, Training and Experience:
Minimum requirement: Associate degree in and/or graduation from a Speech-Language Pathology certificate program. Experience is preferred but not required.
