We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Temporary Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medication administration, patient assessment, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team during short-term assignments. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care, managing medication therapy, and educating patients on their medications.

Duties
- Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
- Provide medication administration support and guidance to healthcare staff.
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication needs and outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers in critical care settings to optimize patient treatment plans.
- Manage pain management protocols, including acute pain management strategies.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with healthcare professionals.
- Participate in managed care initiatives to improve patient health outcomes.
- Stay current with pharmacy residency training and post-residency requirements as applicable.
- Provide education to patients regarding their medications, potential side effects, and proper usage.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in critical care or emergency room (ER) settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with pain management practices and protocols.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy practice.
- Completion of a pharmacy residency program is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry advancements.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour
