Director of Clinical Services

We are currently seeking a Director of Clinical Services to join our talented and caring team.
The Director of Clinical Services / Social Work is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Clinical Services including planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling program activities consistent with the hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements. Participates as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. As a member of the leadership team, the Director of Clinical Services assists in the achievement of organizational objectives regarding patient care, attainment of operational and financial goals, and participates in the promotion of services within the community.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. In absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via the organization's orientation and training program.
Education: Master's degree in social work or related field required.
Experience: Five (5) years clinical experience with adolescent and adult populations in an inpatient setting required. Three (3) years experience management/leadership experience required.
Licensure/Certification: NC LCSW strongly preferred. NC LCMHC or LMFT may be considered.
Job Duties/Knowledge:
- Oversees delivery of clinical services and compliance with agency policy and regulatory requirements.
- Oversees clinical programs. Identifies need for changes in programming, develops proposals and makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Participates in program development.
- Participates in overall agency planning.
- Directs the implementation of and monitors hospital compliance with state and federal regulatory standards for licensure and certifications.
- Works cooperatively with the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Medical Officer in developing policies and procedures that support high quality patient care.
- Participates in plans for recruitment and career development of staff.
- Provides guidance in communication, coordination, and effective operations through development and utilization of recording and reporting systems, manuals, and other resources.
- Responsible for management of department resources, FTEs, and budget.
- Participates in professional and community activities furthering the hospital's mission.
