Position Summary
The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician is an exciting staff-level opportunity at MultiCare, assisting in manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy. In this role, you will apply your organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily work operations.
Responsibilities
- You will assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verifies items received against invoices.
- You will store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, to include dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt.
- You will enter customers medication and billing information into computer system.
- You will answer and screen telephone calls and forwards as needed.
- You will perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).
- Retail pharmacy experience (retail only).

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $25.56 - $42.24 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicants years of experience align.
