Nurse Practitioner
We are excited to offer a full-time Nurse Practitioner position in our respected Adult Medicine/Primary Care department located in Hartford, CT. Our dedicated team is looking for an experienced APRN/NP who will bring a depth of clinical knowledge and enthusiasm for providing patient-centered care. This role includes comprehensive responsibilities such as assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, collaborating with other health professionals to ensure quality and continuity of care. You will play a critical role in health promotion and disease prevention. We offer a signing bonus, competitive compensation, full benefits, and support for relocation if needed.
Compensation: $128,000.00 - $162,000.00 plus bonus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive and patient-centered primary healthcare.
- Work in collaboration with department physicians to ensure quality care.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed to confirm diagnoses and coordinate care.
- Engage in health promotion activities and patient education to prevent disease.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation as required.
- Utilize evidence-based decisions to comply with department and organizational quality measures.
- Adjust to the diverse needs of the patient population with culturally competent care.
- Effectively communicate with patients and their family members, peers, and other healthcare providers both orally and in writing.
- Administer and prescribe medications, including controlling substances as licensed.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of medical practices and patient outcomes.
- Performing additional duties as required within the scope of practice.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Valid State of Connecticut licensure as an APRN or PA.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration.
- Substantial knowledge of nursing or physician assistant theory and practice.
- Ability to effectively manage medical histories, conditions, and diagnostic findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in an ambulatory setting or urgent care.
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish are highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Skills:
- Exceptional patient care and clinical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Proven ability to maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation.
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems.
- Skilled in making evidence-based clinical decisions.
