Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an ED Shift Supervisor/Unit Coordinator RN for the Emergency Department. This position is full-time/mid shift.
Hours: 1pm - 11pm
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse, 18 months clinical nursing experience
- Bachelors Degree
The Unit Coordinator RN demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increases staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Norfolk General Hospital's Emergency Department is a 53-bed unit. Our Trauma One Facility is equipped to handle a variety of medical emergencies, and approximately 10% are Trauma related.
Sentara Norfolk General Emergency Department is one of only 94 in the United States to receive the Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses' Association this year.
The Lantern Award honors "exceptional and innovative leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research."
