Acute Peritoneal Dialysis RN
We are actively searching for a dedicated Acute Peritoneal Dialysis RN to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will manage and deliver acute peritoneal dialysis services to patients, ensuring their safety and optimal care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct acute peritoneal dialysis procedures adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Closely monitor patient responses and adjust dialysis treatments as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to formulate personalized care plans.
- Provide thorough education to patients and their families about the dialysis process, its purposes, and potential risks.
- Document and evaluate treatment progress and communicate any concerns to the medical team promptly.
- Maintain meticulous patient records, including documentation of all procedures and interventions.
- Uphold strict infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment in the dialysis facility.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Current state License as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in dialysis.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in general dialysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
- Demonstrated ability to operate dialysis-related medical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong clinical skills with a deep understanding of renal medicine and patient care in acute settings.
- Proven record of reliability and responsibility in previous healthcare positions.
