Manager of Operating Room (RN) - OR - Operating Room

Location: Mission Regional Medical Center, Harlingen, TX

Responsibilities:

The Manager of Perioperative Services is responsible for the direction of patient care in the perioperative environment.
Manage the staff members in all Perioperative Departments.
Consult with staff, physicians, and Nurse Executive on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
Maintain performance improvement activities within the department and assist with formulation of the budget for the department.

Qualifications:

Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
CNOR preferred.
Current ACLS (AHA) Certification upon hire and maintain current.
At least two (2) years of experience in Surgical Nursing.
Current PALS (AHA) certification for those facilities caring for the pediatric population.

Pay: Average Texas Staff Position Pay: $38.05/hour. The average salary for an OR - Operating Room is 17% lower than the US average of $44, estimate based on Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
