At NorthBay Health, the Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist II is registered by RDCS or RCS with the knowledge of the professional practice of echocardiography. The Ultrasound Technologist has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, cost-effective care according to the philosophy and goals of the Patient Care Division. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patients. The Tech supports the mission, vision, values, and expectation of excellence of NorthBay Healthcare.
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Formal echocardiography training in an accredited program.
Licensure:
- RDCS or RCS.
- Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.
- Telemetry certification within 90-day introductory period.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- One year in an acute care facility as an Echo Tech preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- EKGs, echocardiograms, stress echoes, and cardiac stress tests.
- Able to competently gather vital signs.
- Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills in the English language.
- Delivers care that is specific to the special behavior/needs within the scope of services for Cardiology.
Other:
- Must be available to perform job duties at both the NorthBay and VacaValley campus.
- Weekends/call back required.
Compensation: MIN $62.57 - $68.97 (offer based on years of experience)
