Job Description

Post-Operative Accountabilities: At the conclusion of each case and as directed by departmental policy and procedure, participates in the training/orientation of new staff members to the operating room setting. Readies anesthesia equipment for subsequent use.
Operative Procedure Accountabilities: Applies all equipment used in the operative care of the anesthetized patient and performs all duties at the direction of the Anesthesiologist, Nurse Anesthetists staff (CRNA), manager or lead technician.
Pre-Operative Accountabilities: Acts as a member of the Anesthesia team by preparing the patient/machine interface for the delivery of anesthesia and the management of the patient during surgery. Assists in the sterile and aseptic preparation of the patient for the placement of the pulmonary artery, central venous and arterial and venous monitoring lines.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Associates Degree in Anesthesia Technology OR two (2) years' experience in an Anesthesia Tech or Critical Care Tech role (Required)
Completion of Anesthesia Tech Program (Preferred)
ACLS Certification or Certification by the American Association of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists (ASATT) (Preferred)
