The Role:
Successful candidates will be responsible for providing compounding and mail order pharmacy services, including filling prescriptions, working with patients, and staying organized. This is not a retail location, so you will not be patient facing in person. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. We are looking for a professional who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
We believe that one size does not fit all in terms of patients and their medication needs. We take pride in customizing medications for those unique individuals.
We are in search of an optimistic, motivated team member with a keen eye for detail, who can self-direct, and work independently as well as with others. Also someone who has strong prioritizing and multitasking skills. Compounding experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, verifying, and dispensing medications.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medications.
- Keep track of inventory and re-order as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols when handling medications.
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience as a pharmacist
- Experience with both sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to lift and push or pull up to 50lbs.
- Pick and pinch small tablets with fingers, and seize, hold, grasp or turn objects with hands.
- Perceive the size, shape, temperature, or texture of objects by touching with fingertips.
- See objects at close vision and be able to identify and distinguish colors.
Work Schedule and Shifts:
- Shift: 10 PM - 6 AM
- Weekends: if needed, and will need to have flexibility
- Weekdays: primary
Flexibility Requirements:
- Candidates must be available for any shifts and demonstrate flexibility in their scheduling
- Ability to adapt to shift changes and cover additional hours as needed
Additional Information:
- Shifts may vary occasionally based on business needs, including holiday and weekend coverage.
- Applicants should be comfortable with adjusting schedules on short notice.
- Schedule of 7 days working followed by 7 days off.
The estimated salary for this role is between $100,000/year and $300,000/year.
