About our Unit:
At Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC), our Surgical Services Department is the region's largest referral center, offering advanced robotic-assisted surgeries and a recently upgraded hybrid operating suite. We provide a wide range of surgical specialties, including breast, cosmetic, ENT (ear, nose and throat), general, gynecology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral surgery and orthopedics. The PACU is equipped to handle immediate postoperative care, focusing on patient safety and comfort during recovery from anesthesia. Our Sterile Processing Department ensures that all surgical instruments and equipment meet the highest standards of sterility and readiness, playing a crucial role in infection control and patient safety.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Surgery Technologist is an active member of the nursing team in the Operating Room or procedural area, functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in the OR, and is responsible for assisting the RN in carrying out the individual plan of care based on the RN assessment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Required: Current Surgical Technologist certification
- Preferred: One (1) year Certified Surgical Tech Experience
