In addition, the MA has responsibility for coordination of patient flow through the clinic to ensure timely delivery of patient services including patient intake procedures and input of information into the electronic health record (EPIC).
Qualifications:
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Experience in a fast paced work environment
- Medical Terminology, OSHA and HIPAA training
- Ability to communicate with an older population
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Proven problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word)
Duties:
- Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
- Able to assist physicians in providing treatment.
- Ensures physicians have needed supplies, instruments and equipment.
- Answers phone calls, orders supplies, sends out letters, and completes forms.
- Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.
- Records vital statistics (height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks), and test results in patient medical files.
- Helps prep prescriptions for MD to refill.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- High School diploma required/Associate’s degree
- Medical Assistant Certificate required

Pay Scale/Ranges:
$21.00-$39.00/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*
