DescriptionGENERAL SUMMARY:
Working very independently and under very general supervision from a manager or Principal Investigator, provides support to clinical research studies.May be responsible for the following activities: assessing the suitability of potential participants for clinical trials, scheduling, data input, oversight of regulatory submissions, and collaboration within departments as well as with outside institutions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Coordinatestheimplementation,bothinternallyandexternally,ofsponsoredclinicalresearch studies.
2.Initiates and maintains contact with study participants.Responsible for screening applicants, ensuringtheymeetappropriatecriteria,andassessingthesuitabilityof their participation.
3.Maintainsthestudydatabase.Responsiblefordatainput and upkeep.
4.Review of billing and financial status of various research protocols.
5.InconjunctionwithResearchManager/PrincipalInvestigator,developsandimplementsnew research protocols including data collection systems and institutional review board approval.
6.All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Potential to assist in trainingandorientingnewstaff.
WORKING CONDITIONS:Lifting/ carrying of equipment. Walking/ standing for long periods of time. Bending to examine patients' extremities.
